چکیده

BackgroundRefinements in transcatheter aortic valve technologies have led to a reduction delivery systems profiles and, along with expandable introducer sheaths, reducing the incidence of vascular complications. Nonetheless, second arterial access is needed landmark cusps while obtaining coplanar view. We aimed report our single-center experience using single-arterial for implantation (TAVI) Acurate neo (Boston Scientific, Marlborough, USA) self-expanding bioprosthesis. Methods and ResultsTAVI system was performed by transfemoral hybrid operating room. [Transcatheter aortic valve-in-valve implantation for failed aortic bioprosthesis].

Percutaneous valve replacement for severe aortic stenosis has been shown to be an alternative treatment option for high surgical risk patients. We describe our first valve-in-valve procedure in a patient with a degenerated aortic bioprosthesis and severe regurgitation.

Successful percutaneous implantation of Symetis ACURATE neo transcatheter aortic bioprosthesis in a patient with existing mechanical mitral valve

A 73-year old woman who had previous mechanical mitral valve replacement (MVR) presented with worsening symptoms of dyspnea. Echocardiographic evaluation revealed severe aortic stenosis with calcified trileaflet aortic valve (aortic valve area was 0.9 cm2, mean gradient was 42 mm Hg with 45% ejection fraction). Society of Thoracic Surgeons score of the patient was 8.9%, mean logistic European s...

First dutch experience of the accurate neo self-expanding supra-annular valve for valve-in-valve transcatheter aortic valve implantation

We describe the first two cases of valve-in-valve (ViV) transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) using Accurate Neo device in the Netherlands. A 73-year-old man underwent transfemoral ViV-TAVI for severe stenosis in his 25-mm Carpentier-Edwards Perimount bioprosthesis. After balloon predilatation, a mediumsize Accurate Neo was advanced to the bioprosthetic annulus. First, its upper part w...

Direct Transcatheter Heart Valve Implantation Versus Implantation With Balloon Predilatation: Insights From the Brazilian Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Registry.

BACKGROUND Direct transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is regarded as having potential advantages over TAVR with balloon aortic valve predilatation (BAVP) in reducing procedural complications, but there are few data to support this approach. METHODS AND RESULTS Patients included in the Brazilian TAVR registry with CoreValve and Sapien-XT prosthesis were compared according to the impl...

Transapical aortic valve implantation using a Symetis Acurate self-expandable bioprosthesis: initial outcomes of 10 patients

INTRODUCTION Transapical aortic valve implantation (TA-AVI) has been widely introduced for treatment of patients with severe aortic stenosis in the last decade. Here we report our first clinical experience with 10 patients using the second-generation transapical Symetis Acurate TA aortic valve designed for transapical implantation. AIM To evaluate the results of transapical access in transcat...
